š Take a Tour before Getting Startedš
If you haven't integrated HubSpot with your Slack instance yet, you'll need to start there. If it's already connected, you'll start with Workflows.
Integration requirements
You must be a super admin or have App Marketplace permissions in your HubSpot account.
You must be an admin in the Slack workspace you're connecting.
Your HubSpot email must match your Slack user email.
Connecting Slack
In your HubSpot account, click the Marketplace icon in the main navigation bar, then select App Marketplace.
Search for the Slack integration, and select Slack.
In the top right, click Connect app. You'll be redirected to Slack in a new browser tab.
Review the requested permissions, then click Allow.
In your HubSpot account, go to Automation and select Workflows
Select Create New Workflow from scratch
Now select your criteria. For the purpose of this, we'll start with Tourial Name
**If you only want to trigger a Slack notification for one specific Tour, enter the name (or use Tourial URL instead) exactly as it appears. ā āTip: Maybe you have several tours and they all start with the same naming convention. You could use "starts with" instead of "equal" to capture all tours that start with "Tourial Tours" for example.
Choose the Slack channel you want to send the notification to and enter the message and any contact tokens (email, contact owner, etc.).
We recommend including Tourial Engagement Data too! You can use Tourial: Last Tourial Viewed, for example, to show the name of the Tourial most recently engaged with.
Click Save. Then publish your workflow and that's it!
Note: To ensure leads can enter the workflow multiple times (i.e. if they continue engaging with a tour or other tours) update the Re-enrollment settings before you publish the workflow.
There are so many ways you can use HubSpot workflows, Tourial Engagement Data and Slack notifications. ā Let's say a prospect views a tour that a member of the sales team sent, or maybe they came to the website again and viewed it. Wouldn't it be great to automatically send a Slack notification to that team member so they're aware their prospect is actively engaging with a tour?
Use the Send notification to existing owners setting when creating your Slack notification. Boom! A channel notification and direct message are sent at the same time! Talk about visibility š¤©
